The charming You Make Me Feel So Young! proves Nancy Wright a considerably hipper presence than the liner notes might suggest -- dubbed "a citizen of the supper clubs" on the sleeve, Wright nevertheless acquits herself admirably in tandem with the cool, lithe jazz backings of bandleader Caesar Giovannini's septet. The material is predictable -- standard fare like "It Could Happen to You" and "Come Rain or Come Shine" -- and while Wright certainly doesn't claim ownership of the songs, she inhabits their melodies in full while keeping pace with Giovannini's supple arrangements. by Jason Ankeny
