KATE BUSH - Before The Dawn (2016) 3CD / FLAC (image+.cue), lossless

Before the Dawn is the second live album by English singer-songwriter Kate Bush, credited to The KT Fellowship. The album was released on 25 November 2016 by Bush's label Fish People, and is distributed in the United States by Concord Records.

It was recorded during Bush's 22-date residency, Before the Dawn, at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, which saw her return to the stage following a 35-year absence. As with the residency, the album is split into three parts, comprising seven miscellaneous songs, the complete Ninth Wave suite from Hounds of Love, and A Sky of Honey from Bush's 2005 release Aerial. The album also contains the song "Tawny Moon", performed by Bush's son, Albert McIntosh. Presented in the same order as the original show, the album's performances are culled from various shows throughout the residency. The album also contains the track "Never Be Mine", which is performed live but did not feature on the Before the Dawn residency.

Following two years of speculation, the album, released as three-CD and four-record pressings, was officially announced on 29 September 2016; the track "Prologue" was also shared. Bush commented: "It was an extraordinary experience putting the show together. It was a huge amount of work, a lot of fun and an enormous privilege to work with such an incredibly talented team. This is the audio document. I hope that this can stand alone as a piece of music in its own right and that it can be enjoyed by people who knew nothing about the shows as well as those who were there. I never expected the overwhelming response of the audiences, every night filling the show with life and excitement. They are there in every beat of the recorded music. Even when you can't hear them, you can feel them." ~ Wiki

KATE BUSH - The Kick Inside (1978-2005) Limited Edition / FLAC (image+.cue), lossless

Kate Bush's first album, The Kick Inside, released when the singer/songwriter was only 19 years old (but featuring some songs written at 15 and recorded at 16), is her most unabashedly romantic, the sound of an impressionable and highly precocious teenager spreading her wings for the first time. The centerpiece is "Wuthering Heights," which was a hit everywhere except the United States (and propelled the Emily Brontë novel back onto the best-seller lists in England), but there is a lot else here to enjoy: The disturbing "Man with the Child in His Eyes," the catchy rocker "James and the Cold Gun," and "Feel It," an early manifestation of Bush's explorations of sexual experience in song, which would culminate with "Hounds of Love." As those familiar with the latter well know, she would do better work in the future, but this is still a mightily impressive debut. Allmusic

KATE BUSH - Lionheart (1978-2005) Limited Edition / FLAC (image+.cue), lossless

Proving that the English admired Kate Bush's work, 1978's Lionheart album managed to reach the number six spot in her homeland while failing to make a substantial impact in North America. The single "Hammer Horror" went to number 44 on the U.K. singles chart, but the remaining tracks from the album spin, leap, and pirouette with Bush's vocal dramatics, most of them dissipating into a mist rather than hovering around long enough to be memorable. Her fairytale essence wraps itself around tracks like "In Search of Peter Pan," "Kashka From Baghdad," and "Oh England My Lionheart," but unravels before any substance can be heard. "Wow" does the best job at expressing her voice as it waves and flutters through the chorus, with a melody that shimmers in a peculiar but compatible manner. Some of the tracks, such as "Coffee Homeground" or "In the Warm Room," bask in their own subtle obscurity, a trait that Bush improved upon later in her career but couldn't secure on this album. Lionheart acts as a gauge more than a complete album, as Bush is trying to see how many different ways she can sound vocally colorful, even enigmatic, rather than focus on her material's content and fluidity. Hearing Lionheart after listening to Never for Ever or The Dreaming album, it's apparent how quickly Bush had progressed both vocally and in her writing in such a short time. by Mike DeGagne

KATE BUSH - Live At Hammersmith Odeon (1979-1994) FLAC (image+.cue), lossless

Live at the Hammersmith Odeon showcases a concert from Kate Bush's 1979 tour of the U.K., her one and only tour. This feature only includes 90 minutes of the original two and half hour set, which is a glorious theatrical presentation of various costumes changes and fancy choreographed numbers. Bush gives a dramatic performance, particularly on "Strange Phenomena" and "Wuthering Heights" from her first album The Kick Inside. "Don't Push Your Foot on the Heartbrake" and "James and the Cold Gun" are equally impressive. Loyalists of Bush's wild musical palate should enjoy this video. After all, it is a treasured moment from her one and only tour.
